Veterinarian
Dr. Jon grew up in south-central Kentucky on a small farm outside Bowling Green. The son of a large animal veterinarian and the youngest of three boys, Dr. Jon quickly learned the value of hard work and smart business. Working at his father’s veterinary clinic through high school and college, he gained valuable experience working with animals and in the agriculture industry. Dr. Jon also owns two companies with his father and two brothers, Tubbs CRO and Tubbs Livestock Company.
In his professional life, Dr. Jon has earned two degrees in education and has taught in several different venues including high schools, universities, and adult education through his service in the U.S. Peace Corps. Dr. Jon also spent several years working in animal welfare, biosecurity, and assessment in the food animal industry.
Dr. Jon returned to school to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and graduated from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2020, shortly after which he married his much better half, Dr. Mary Alys Tubbs.
Dr. Jon has specific interests in diagnostic ultrasound, population medicine, business management, and community development.
